In a unique collaboration between The Queensland Art Gallery and The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh presents The Andy Warhol exhibition.

At this exclusive Brisbane exhibit, some of the most famous works of the late father of Pop art will be on display including the iconic Campbell’s soup cans and celebrity portraits of Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley.

The exhibition marks 20 years since the death of one of the most influential and important artists of the late twentieth century.

Pop art is a way of expressing one's inner-being, just like all art. I congratulate Andy Warhol for expressing himself and for creating such wonderful pieces of art. He rocks! I wish I could do the same but I unlike Andy Warhol aren't too good at art and couldn't paint a square to save my life.

the cocept of pop art refers not as much to the art itself, but to the attitudes that led to it.
which leads me to believe that if you knew anything at all about him or his works, you'd not be saying negative things.

Actualy, If you researched him fully, you'd discover that there was RUMOURS he was gay, And they have no proof because he never admitted to it. Although, he did do quite a bit of homosexual art.
You shouldnt critisize him for his sexuality though, His pop art was amazing and far better than any other artists i have come across. Knives was a brilliant piece.

Please do some REAL research before posting pointless, arrogent and simply disrespectful comments.

But i belive that he is over celebrated as a artist for most of his work is mediocre and can be done by many people around the work easly and with little or no effort. Andy does prove his talents at times with his work but for the most part he just takes common thing and draws them; An example is the campbell's soup its is very detailed but it was already drawn by the designer of the can so i wopuld consider it that he took the artwork. that is all the time i have to comment on this , at this time
