Welsh rock band, Budgie, was first formed in 1967 and is widely credited as one of the first heavy metal bands ever.
The band launched their most recent album, You're All Living In Cuckooland, in late 2006 - their first official studio album since 1982's Deliver Us From Evil. They will be touring Australia for the first time in February 2008 with a line-up that includes original front man and songwriter Burke Shelley (bass and vocals), Steve Williams (drums) and Andy James (guitars).
