The Brisbane Cricket Ground, better known as "The Gabba", is located in the suburb of Woolloongabba and dates back to 1895, when the land was designated as the site for a cricket ground.
The first event and cricket match to be conducted at The Gabba took place in December 1896 and since then, many classic cricket matches have been played on the ground as well as many other sports including Athletics, AFL, Baseball, Concerts, Cricket, Cycling, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Soccer, Pony and Greyhound Racing.
