Icons of Queensland Exhibition

January 14th 2008 06:30
Icons of Queensland

The Icons of Queensland Exhibition was an exhibition created to celebrate 20 years of the Queensland Museum at South Bank.

The Icons of Queensland is nominated by the people of Queensland to add their favourite cultural icons for inclusion in a list of twelve icons. First started in 2004, each year for the following two years, another twelve icons were added to this list, thus building for all time a comprehensive list of familiar items of significance in the cultural history of the State. 2006 is the third and final year of icon selection.

This wonderful exhibition features stunning images of Queensland Icons such as Big Pineapple, Lamingtons, Cane Toad, Dig Tree and many more!
