The MacArthur Museum in Brisbane is dedicated to wartime heritage, in particular, the city's involvement in the second World War between 1939 to 1945.
This crucial period in Australia’s history including Brisbane's struggle during the dark days of war is captured by the museum's collection of wartime memorabilia including identity discs worn by children at the time. The museum's major exhibition, which was developed in three stages, encourages people to discover and engage with the cultural heritage of wartime Brisbane.
