The historic Newstead House located on the Brisbane River is the city's oldest surviving residence dating from as far back as 1846 when it was originally constructed for Patrick Leslie.
Over the years, it has had many owners and undergone dramatic transformation - from a simple Colonial Georgian cottage into a sprawling homestead with intricate balustrade, spacious verandahs and a vista that incorporates the Brisbane River, undulating parkland.
This beautiful and serene event venue and public museum is a must-see for all visitors.
