Finnish band, Nightwish, are the pioneers of the "Operatic Metal" genre and were formed in July 1996.
Nightwish's music features powerful keyboard tones and soaring symphony arrangements reminiscent of classic film scores combined with their distinct combination of seductive, emotional and operatic vocals and gallant guitar melodies has ensured a patriotic fan base across the globe.
The band will play The Tivoli in support of their new album, Dark Passion Play, released in September 2007.
