The Prisoner of Second Avenue
March 13th 2008 00:45
The Prisoner of Second Avenue hails the return to the Queensland Theatre Company of the sensational Jacki Weaver (The Blonde, The Brunette and the Vengeful Redhead) along with her husband Sean Taylor (Hamlet) in the roles of Edna and Mel - two ordinary people desperately trying to make sense of an increasingly crazed world.
"New York, summer, 1971. Everyone is on strike. The garbage is piling up, the heat is stifling, the airconditioning is freezing, the crime rate is rising and the neighbours are louder than ever."
